Sub-stations & Motor Control Centres

A substation is a part of an electrical generation, transmission, and distribution system. Substations transform voltage from high to low, or the reverse, or perform any of several other important functions , SA Power Electrical have full capabilities to service , maintain and built sub-stations

How does a substation work?

The electricity is transmitted at very high voltages and low currents to reduce the heat, eddy currents, and other transmission losses. The substations are where the voltages are increased to high values by using step up transformers, and after the transmission, they are again stepped down for distribution.

What are different types of substations?

The different types of substations mainly include Step-up Type Substation, Step-down Transformer, Distribution, Underground Distribution, Switchyard, Customer Substation, and System Station.

What is a motor control center?

A motor control center (MCC) is an assembly to control some or all electric motors in a central location. A motor control center can also include push buttons, indicator lights, variable-frequency drives, programmable logic controllers, and metering equipment.SA Power Electrical are happy to assist in your needs to service , maintain and install all your motor control center equipment.
